A fantastic resource that I have used for over 10 years to introduce Year 7 students regardless of their prior experience to the world of Drama. This 7-lesson Scheme of Leaning teaches students the core basics coming into their Drama lessons, giving them a toolkit of ideas that they can use to build and develop their work throughout Key Stage 3, including:

  • Still Image
  • Thought Track
  • Role Play
  • Mime
  • Status
  • Given Circumstance

Students usually leave after this introductory Half Term more confident as performers and more confident in the skills they have developed. Attached is the PowerPoint (ready to teach) and the Scheme of Learning, with a few hints and tips attached in the notes section
