This blended learning resource is designed to support fifth-grade students understanding of volume through a variety of engaging digital and instructional materials. The lesson includes digital vocabulary word maps for key math terms related to volume, allowing students to build their academic vocabulary through visual representations and connections to prior knowledge. Additional resources include an instructional video introducing the concept of volume, a teacher-created presentation explaining how to calculate the volume of rectangular prisms, visual supports such as pictures cards and diagrams, guided practice activities and independent assessment to measure student understanding and an exit ticket to provide a quick formative assessment. Together, these resources offer multiple opportunities for students to develop conceptual understanding, practice mathematical skills, and apply academic vocabulary in meaningful ways.
