In this activity, students will examine the life and reign of Elizabeth I, tracing the circumstances of her difficult early years through to the political and religious decisions that defined her time on the throne. They will explore major events including the establishment of Anglicanism, the defeat of the Spanish Armada, and the cultural achievements of the Elizabethan Era, developing an understanding of how Elizabeth managed a kingdom that had been deeply unsettled by decades of religious conflict and uncertain leadership.

It has 11 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
