In this activity, students will examine the major civilisations that developed in Peru before the rise of the Inca, including the Caral, Chavín, Nazca, Moche, Wari, and Tiwanaku cultures. They will explore how each culture contributed to the religious, artistic, and political traditions that the Inca later drew upon to build the largest empire in pre-Columbian America.

It has 9 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
