A gentle fresh-start session focused on belonging and how students want the year – and their form – to feel.

Students explore:
• What they want more and less of this year
• What makes a form feel safe, calm and enjoyable
• How they can contribute to that environment

SESSION 2: FUTURE ME
A positive reflection and goal-setting session without the pressure of unrealistic resolutions.

Students:
• Recognise something they are already proud of
• Set academic, personal and “just for me” goals
• Turn one goal into a tiny achievable first step
• Write a short note to their future self

SESSION 3: OUR YEAR TOGETHER
A collaborative session for establishing your form culture.

Students consider:
• What makes a brilliant tutor group
• What they personally bring to the group
• How they can help others feel they belong
• The promises they want their form to make

Finish by creating an “Our Form Promise” that can be displayed in your tutor room.
