Dividing Indices

A fun problem solving activity that covers dividing indices. Divide the term on the outermost spinner by the adjacent term on the centre spinner. Turn the discs such that the calculation is equal to the value on innermost spinner. To solve the puzzle all answers should line up correctly (SET A).

Or for a harder challenge ask students to fill in the blanks by thinking of their own questions (SET B).

Blank discs are included (SET C) to mix and match with Sets A and B.

A perfect starter activity, plenary or extended pair / group task.
