Back to School: First Day Classroom Activities Bundle

Make your first day back at school fun, purposeful and engaging with these 3 activities designed to help children settle into their new classroom, get to know their classmates and establish positive expectations from day one.

This bundle includes three ready-to-use activities:

Classroom Scavenger Hunt
A fun way for children to explore their new classroom and discover where they can find the equipment and resources they will need throughout the school year. Children hunt for key classroom areas and resources, encouraging independence from the very beginning. A ready to use and blank template is included so that you can personalise the hunt to your classroom.

First Day Bingo
A fun “Find someone who…” activity designed to get children talking, moving around the classroom and discovering interesting things about their new classmates and teachers. Perfect for breaking the ice and helping children begin building friendships.

What Should a Good Class Look, Sound & Feel Like?
A thoughtful discussion and reflection activity to help children consider what makes a positive classroom community. Children explore what a successful classroom should look like, sound like and feel like, helping to establish shared expectations and a positive class culture. They can write or draw, leading to an effective class discussion. The resource comes in 4 different colours.
