A series of seven simple challenges to help students develop the skill of calculating speeds, distances and times. I created this for a group of 'low-achieving' students in Year 9. I made a point of not giving them the speed equation or the equation triangle, as they were able instead to use their own instinctive understanding to do the calculations.

I used this for a bright year 7 class, they really appreciated using their instinctive understanding to derive the speed = dist / time formula themselves. Thanks!
