A Spanish reading about the childhood of José. It is a text that contains many verbs (13 in total) in the past continuous tense and it clearly shows why we use it. The students:

• should first answer some comprehension questions about the text

• then they have to write down what José and his sister did during their childhood (they have to conjugate the verbs and the pronouns)

• then they have to find in the text the 13 verbs that are written in the past continuous tense and then write them in the present tense

• and finally they have to write a text (using the imperfect tense) about how was their childhood
