A full, differentiated lesson for the topic of mixtures. The lesson is based on the activate SOW and was designed for a year 8 class however, the lesson is transferable to other SOW and groups depending on ability. The lesson includes a simple practical activity where students design their own methods to separate the different components of 3 mixtures. Timers are included to promote pace, and PowerPoint animations facilitate Q/A during review of each learning checkpoint.
