Minibeast Cube Challenge Cards (An Early Maths and Fine Motor Activity)

These challenge cards have been well loved by the children in my Reception classroom and are a favourite during continuous provision. Children enjoy recreating each minibeast with multilink cubes before counting how many cubes they have used.

This resource includes 8 challenge cards:

  • Ladybird
  • Caterpillar
  • Worm
  • Fly
  • Bee
  • Butterfly
  • Snail
  • Dragonfly

Perfect for:

  • EYFS / Reception
  • Continuous provision
  • Maths activities
  • Fine motor practice
  • Tuff trays
  • Independent challenges
  • Early finishers

Simply print, cut out (or laminate if you’d like to reuse them) and add a tub of multilink cubes.

A simple, hands-on activity that encourages children to build, count and explore while developing number skills, problem-solving and fine motor control.
