**Medium Term Plan overview: **

In this 5 week unit, pupils explore traditional Nepalese weaving techniques while learning about the cultural purpose of textiles and developing practical weaving skills using paper, wool and simple looms. Inspired by the abstract textile artist Gunta Stölzl, children design, create and evaluate their own woven artwork, making thoughtful choices about colour, pattern, texture and materials.
