In this activity, students will examine the causes, key battles, and consequences of the Hundred Years’ War, from its origins in a disputed claim to the French throne through to the expulsion of the English from France in 1453. They will explore how more than a century of warfare produced major shifts in the political authority of both the English and French crowns, accelerated the decline of the feudal system, and generated significant social unrest on both sides of the Channel.

It has 11 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
