A series of worksheets on expanding single brackets which get progressively more difficult. Each answer reveals a letter in a Christmas themed word. Ideal for year 7 and 8 for a festive lesson! Answers included.

Five sections in difficulty order. Section 1 starts with questions like 3(x+2). As questions get harder, decimals, negatives and algebraic terms on the outside are included. I use this every year with my year 8s around Christmas, but the sheet would also work well for a high-ability year 7 class.
