In this activity, students will explore ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs, examining how this writing system used pictorial symbols to represent sounds and meanings in multiple directions. They will also investigate how the Rosetta Stone unlocked the ability to decode this ancient script after more than 1500 years of mystery.

It has 6 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
