This lesson introduces students to the muscular system, exploring the structure and function of skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscle tissue. Learners investigate the differences between fast-twitch and slow-twitch muscle fibres, examine how anatomy influences movement, and develop an understanding of muscle contraction and antagonistic muscle pairs.
