In this activity, students will examine how Henry VII seized the English throne at the Battle of Bosworth Field in 1485 and explore the steps he took to bring stability to a country torn apart by the Wars of the Roses. They will also investigate how his marriage to Elizabeth of York, his creation of the Court of Star Chamber, and his financial policies helped him to consolidate royal power and establish the Tudor dynasty that would rule England for over a century.

It has 12 questions for students to answer, as well as a paragraph response section for them to demonstrate their understanding of the topic.
